What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file or alphanumeric file the websites place in the computers or mobile devices of their visitors. Cookies are broadly used to enhance the efficiency of the websites, to personalize the on-line experience or to otherwise improve users’ experience, and provide the owners of the website with other legitimate information. How do we use cookies?
